Weather: Clear
Location: The garden next to Gatke Hall
Time: 1130-1150 hours
I’m sitting in on the lawn next to the Gatke hall building just behind Baxter. There is a small bush with both red and green leaves next to me. I hear a call that sounds like a scrub jay. However, I can’t locate the bird visually. In any case there are several animals around Gatke. Since Gatke is practically a deserted building, this proves that it isn’t the architecture that scares away the animals, as I hypothesized before, but the actual people that scare away the animals. Thus, much of human structures could be abandoned and the animals and plants would take it back over fairly quickly. Just as an unrelated sidenote- the scene of the abandoned city being taken over by plants in the beginning was really cool to see.
