Observation Oct 11

Phil Colburn
11 October 2008
Weather: clear
Location: The Star Trees
Time: 2300-2320 hours
I decided to come hang out at the Star trees late on Saturday night, in hope of possibly seeing some nocturnal animals. Most of the time I was out there I didn’t see anything, but just as I was about to leave, I saw a raccoon that was crossing the street in front of the state capital. It crossed onto the lawn near the star trees, but when I moved, it sprinted into the nearest bushes, and knowing about the vicious and possibly rabid nature of cornered raccoons, I made a prudent exit.
