The plants that border the mill stream seem to be doing fine. One tree that is low to the ground has had all of its leaves turn yellow now. There are no more green leaves on the tree, proving that we are well into fall. However, one problem that these beautiful leaf colors cause is they tend to clump together in the millstream, which can obstruct water flow and turn the water stagnant. This can cause many problems, such as lowering the oxygen content of the stream and allowing algae to choke it, like it is shown in the picture here.
