Observation Oct 30

Phil Colburn
30 October 2008
Location: Near the tree by Gatke Hall
Time: 1020-1040 hours
Weather: Cloudy

I sit under the tree by Gatke and notice that it is almost completely bare now. Where before it was flowering with hundreds of leaves of all shades of yellow, orange, gold, and crimson, there are only a few straggling leaves on the tips of the branches, swaying in the wind and occasionally falling to the ground. Many of the other trees around it are also beginning to lose their leaves. Fall is beginning to end and winter is poking up its ugly head and blowing all of the trees bare.
